If there is such a thing as a paradise for hikers, then Switzerland has to be it!  So many trails, so many vistas, & charming villages too numerous to count.  It is springtime in Switzerland with lush green fields and more wildflowers than you can possibly imagine.  A simply glorious time to be hiking in this alpine paradise.

KT specializes in "value for money" trips.

Our Swiss Passes take us to several distinct regions in Switzerland, all with special scenic attractions.  In Kandersteg you'll hike in several remote valleys including the wildly natural Gasterntal and the secluded Lotschental where ancient folklore and perfectly preserved villages still exist.  The last several years we have been branching out to wonderful hikes in the Rhone Valley with a completely unique feel and excitement.   Our hikers for over 15 years have described their Swiss Alps KT hiking trip as "Far exceeding our expectations!

Our next stop is world famous Zermatt, under the amazing Matterhorn, with super high altitude hiking, glaciers always in view, and three nights of pampering at a lovely 4* luxury hotel with gorgeous spa/indoor pool and great location.  It doesn't get much better than this!

Finally, it's on to Lauterbrunnen and the most popular hiking region in Switzerland - The Jungfrau Region of the Berner Oberland.  Here we hike beneath the north face of the Eiger with the the Monch & Jungfrau off in the horizon.  We visit castles, explore tiny mountain hamlets, enjoy car free villages, and take trains, lifts, and other transport up and down the endless mountain panorama.

We stay in quaint villages enjoying the hospitality of family owned inns with delicious dining and close to all of the attractions.   For lunch we picnic at a scenic spot along the trail or enjoy a hot snack and a glass of cold beer at a trail side chalet.  At the end of each hiking day, we return to our cozy Inn for a gourmet dinner.  Don't be fooled by other Swiss hiking trip prices.  Knapsack's properties are all 3 star family Inns in great locations with lots of charm and a luxury 4* hotel in Zermatt!

With wonderful camaraderie, elegant meals, unlimited cultural attractions, and some of the most incredible alpine hikes in the world, we know this will be your ultimate hiking holiday.
